Stand Up Paddling Boarding

Stand Up Paddle Boarding Mal Pais, Costa Rica

Learn and enjoy the fastest growing Water Sport in the world. SUP, or “Stand Up Paddle Boarding” is very enjoyable, relaxing, and is a great “All Body Workout”. It’s not difficult to learn, and any one of any skill level can give it a try. Here with “Mal Pais SUP Tours”, you will learn all the fundamentals and techniques involved in Paddle Boarding, and also everything you need to know about the equipment. We meet up with clients at the Soccer field in Mal Pais (Near the Fishing Village), and start out with a 20 minute explanation and instruction. Then we will launch out off the beach just in front of the Soccer field, and Paddle down towards the famous “Cabo Blanco Reserve”, in which the client will get a wonderful perspective of the Reserve from the water, with amazing views. After that we turn around and paddle towards Mar Azul point. The tour lasts just over an hour in the water, unless the clients are enjoying themselves immensely, in which case the tour can last another half hour. The best times to enjoy this Paddle board tour is either in the morning as early as 7:00 A.M. and no later than 9:00 A.M., and also in the late afternoon as early as 3:30 P.M. in the afternoon, no later than 4:30 P.M. There is no minimum of how many people can go, so one person is fine. Maximum of 4 people all together.

Wildlife Hiking in Costa Rica

Hiking in Cabo Blanco National Reserve Park

First Absolute Nature Reserve is yet another of Costa Rica’s national landmarks which is of great historical value. Designated footpaths take you through out the reserve and down to the magnificent white sand beaches.

Horseback riding

Ride along the shoreline at sunset crossing Santa Teresa beach until Playa Hermosa.
Cost: $40 per person for 2 hrs

Fishing in Costa Rica

Sport fishing

The main fishing is generally done a short ride along the coast out by the Cabo Blanco Marine Reserve where you will see an abundance of birds and aquatic life.
Cost: $150 p/p/p 3hrs

Tortuga Island

World famous for its white sand beaches lined with tall coconut palms Tortuga Island has crystal clear waters with no ocean currents which makes this the ideal place for beginners and young people alike to swim and practice their snorkeling skills.

Canopy tours

Zip Line Canopy Tours - Costa Rica

Ride through the forest canopy along a creek, and ride over a canyon, between 11 platforms set high in gigantic trees.
Cost : $40 p/p+$5 Transportation.

Waterfall Canopy Tour Montezuma

On this cable system suspended over the forest you will be able to appreciate excellent views of the Pacific Ocean, observe monkeys, birds and the wilderness surrounding the Montezuma river and even see the famous waterfalls and stop for a swim, if you like.

FAQ

Do I need a passport to go to Costa Rica?

A valid passport is mandatory to enter Costa Rica. All visitors need a passport and there must be at least six months remaining before the passport expires. Make sure your passport is in good physical condition- you really can be denied entry.

Do I need a visa to go to Costa Rica?

Depending on your home country, you may enter Costa Rica without a visa. This applies to the USA, Canada and most European countries. The stamp you receive in your passport as you pass through immigration is your visa and expires based on what country you are from. Check with your countries embassy if you are unsure.

Do I need vaccines before coming to Costa Rica?

No vaccines are required to enter Costa Rica. That said, tetanus and hepatitis shots are always a good idea, regardless. Consult your physician.

Reservation policies

To secure a reservation, a 40% non-refundable deposit needs to be made once the confirmation is received. The remaining 60% must be paid 30 days prior to arrival.
